Cooking without a lid

Discover the art of traditional cooking with the Open Cook mode, which allows cooking up to 100°C without rotating the blades, ideal for delicate ingredients and flavorful sauces. It offers flexibility and control, allowing you to add ingredients without interruption.

Slow Cook

Preserve the nutrients and intensify the flavors of your favorite dishes with the slow cook mode. This mode cooks up to 800g of meat, poultry, firm seafood like octopus, pulses, and fruit for 1 to 8 hours at a temperature between 60°C and 98°C. It’s ideal for stews and casseroles, especially for tenderizing tougher cuts of meat. The results are tender and melt-in-the-mouth. This mode is also perfect for preparing rich broths, soups, and compotes.

Kneading

This mode unleashes all the expertise of a master baker in your kitchen. Thanks to a predefined sequence of alternating blade rotations and pauses, both clockwise and counterclockwise, the Kneading mode faithfully mimics the movement of hand kneading. The power of the Thermomix® stand mixer offers unparalleled versatility, making it easy to make heavy doughs and mixtures. This mode is ideal for preparing delicious bread doughs, pizzas, and fresh pasta, as well as sweet pastries and enriched breads, such as brioche.

Rice Cooking

This mode allows you to perfectly cook rice and other grains in one step. The rice or grain of your choice is cooked directly in the mixing bowl. Thanks to the absorption cooking method, the Thermomix® automatically heats, boils, and rests the rice. The Rice Cooking mode is suitable for long-grain, brown, basmati, jasmine, and sushi rice, as well as other grains such as millet, bulgur, and spelt.

Sous-vide

This mode allows for gentle, low-temperature cooking with perfect control. Sous vide meat, fish, vegetables, or even fruit for up to 12 hours at temperatures between 40°C and 85°C for exceptionally tender and juicy results. It preserves the ingredients’ nutrients, intensifies flavors and aromas, while reducing the need for salt and seasoning.

Blender

Prepare delicious smoothies and fruit purees, surprising cocktails, sorbets and other frozen desserts, as well as dips and soups. Blender mode lets you do it all. Select the blending time and speed you need to achieve the ideal texture: from ultra-smooth to a more textured consistency. The blade speed gradually increases until you reach the selected target speed. You can now blend up to speed 10.

Cooking Eggs

How do you like your eggs? Tap the image of the desired result and enjoy perfectly cooked eggs. The blades are disabled in this mode. Remove 2 to 6 medium-sized eggs (53-63 g each) from the refrigerator, place them in the mixing bowl without the cooking basket, add water up to the 1 liter mark, choose from five cooking options (from soft-boiled to hard-boiled), and start the mode. It’s easy to prepare eggs exactly the way you like them.

Kettle

Water temperatures vary depending on the type of tea. For example, green and white teas are best prepared at 80°C, while 100°C is the ideal temperature for black tea. Kettle mode allows you to precisely control the temperature of the heated water, giving you the flexibility to prepare delicious hot drinks or water for baby bottles. This mode can heat between 100 ml and 1.8 liters of water, at temperatures between 37 and 100°C. Use this mode exclusively for heating water to avoid over-boiling. To make infusions, you can add small amounts of tea, herbs, or spices to the water.

Manual Cooking

Cook your way with Manual Cooking mode: control the time, temperature, speed, and direction of blade rotation. The possibilities are endless: chop, grind, mix in seconds, emulsify, knead, or sauté in minutes. Cook, boil, or simmer longer according to your preferences. The whisk ensures even cooking of thicker dishes or large foods when combined with liquid, while the cooking basket protects ingredients from the blades. At speed 2 or lower, you can remove the lid to check flavors, adjust seasonings, or add ingredients as needed. When you lift the lid, cooking and blade rotation pause and resume uninterrupted once the lid is replaced on the mixing bowl.

Turbo

In this mode, the blades operate at only one speed: maximum speed. Preset pulse times of 0.5, 1, and 2 seconds give you the control you need to gradually chop hard ingredients, such as nuts, Parmesan cheese, and chocolate, into smaller and smaller pieces without pureeing them. Pulse times can be added successively until the desired size is reached.

Reheat

The ideal mode for reheating meals you’ve already prepared in your Thermomix®. It heats liquids such as milk, soups, sauces, stews, and even baby food to the ideal temperature without overheating. Make sure there is enough liquid so the food can move freely and is heated thoroughly. The default heating temperature is 70°C, but you can adjust the temperature and speed manually. The available speeds are simmer 1 or 2.
